Union Partners

As we begin the new year, we are pleased to reflect on the successful negotiations between the District and the Dublin Teachers Association (DTA). The agreements reached have laid a solid foundation for this upcoming school year, bringing valuable benefits to our dedicated certificated staff and towards enhancing the overall educational experience for our students.

These accomplishments highlight the strong partnership between the District and DTA, demonstrating our shared commitment to excellence in education. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to a collaborative and productive year with DTA.

Key Achievements from 2023-24 Negotiations

Salary Enhancements: Our teachers received a well-deserved salary increase, reflecting our commitment to recognizing their hard work and dedication and that students deserve the best 6.0% salary enhancement. This includes a 4.5% increase retroactive to July 1, 2023, and an additional 1.5% effective May 1, 2024. Notably, the increase includes an extra 0.5% to account for additional collaboration meetings.

Recognition of Experience: The District now acknowledges up to eight years of verified prior full-time TK-12 teaching experience, benefiting both new and existing employees.

Increased Preparation Time: In 2024-25, elementary teachers will receive additional preparation periods, allowing them more time to plan and deliver high-quality instruction (increased from 90 to 108 sessions annually).
