Sovereign was awarded a Master Service Agreement with a major utility to provide consulting services in conjunction with the construction and repair of new and existing electrical and natural gas energy infrastructure in the Mid-Atlantic region. Under this agreement Sovereign provides environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and other incidental services throughout DE, MD, NJ and VA. Sovereign’s services under the MSA include project management, project evaluation, preparation and submittal of consultation letters, siting studies and land acquisition support, wetland delineation, threatened & endangered species site surveys, cultural resources, alternative analysis and siting model analysis, mitigation plan development, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) support, public relations plan support, construction and environmental monitoring, horizontal direction drilling (HDD) submarine crossing, erosion and sediment control plan development, health and safety plan development, hazardous materials management, expert witness testimony, coordination with regulatory agencies, and preparation of permit application documents. Sovereign has successfully completed over 150 ecological projects under this agreement. This includes over 200 miles of transmission line right-of–way (ROW) wetland delineations as well as threatened and endangered species surveys, and cultural resource assessments.
